🔼 Pitch Perfect. The baseball team beat Virginia Tech 7-3 in the series opener. Evan Blanco was stellar on the mound as he did not allow an earned run over 7.1 innings. Five of the seven runs for Virginia were scored off of home runs by Eric Becker, Jacob Ference and Harrison Didawick. Didawick’s home run was his 20th of the season. This makes him the third player in UVA history to hit 20 homers in a single season.
(Schedule Alert: Friday’s game will start at noon)
🔼 Best Out There. The Women’s Golf Coaches Association named Ria Scott to the 2023-24 Division I Jackie Steinmann National Coach of the Year watch list. Scott led the Cavaliers to five top-three finishes and its third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championships.

Von der Schulenburg has a 3.95 GPA and is majoring in Global Studies. The award recognizes an athlete who exemplifies being a true student-athlete. One who’s reached the pinnacle of competition at the national championship level and achieved the highest academic standard among peers.
🔼 Season Finale. The men’s tennis team faced Wake Forest in the NCAA Championship quarterfinals and lost 4-1. The Cavaliers won one singles match and one doubles match. The men end their season with a 25-6 overall record and a 12-0 conference record.
