🔼 Friday Night Lights. Virginia football opens up ACC play tonight at home versus NC State! Here’s everything you need to get ready for kickoff:

🔼 Right Man For The Job. USA Swimming has named Virginia swimming & diving coach Todd DeSorbo as the head coach of the U.S. women’s team at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France!
DeSorbo served as an assistant coach at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, where he led four of his then-University of Virginia swimmers to 18 total medals.
🔼 Tar Heel Tussle. No. 22 Virginia women’s soccer battled No. 1 North Carolina all the way to the finish Thursday night, ultimately coming up just a bit short in a 1-0 loss.
UNC broke a scoreless tie in the 55th minute. UVA’s Maggie Cagle had a shot in the 87th minute for a chance to tie it, but it didn’t find the net.
🔼 Top-10 Battle. No. 6 Virginia field hockey is on the road this afternoon to take on No. 10 Syracuse, with both teams looking for its first ACC win of the season.
The ranked matchup is nothing new for the Hoos at this point — Syracuse will be the seventh ranked opponent in nine contests for UVA this season.
🔼 Carolina In My Mind. Virginia volleyball (7-3) is spending the weekend in North Carolina to open up ACC play, with a match against the Tar Heels tonight and Duke on Sunday.
North Carolina is 6-3 so far this season, while Duke currently sits at 9-2.
🔼 Fighting The Irish. Fresh off a big 3-1 win over NC State in its ACC home opener, Virginia men’s soccer is in Indiana tonight to open up its ACC road slate against Notre Dame.
The Fighting Irish are 4-1-3 this season, with two draws and a loss in their last three matches.
