🔼 Quite The Impact. UVA alumnus Ramon W. Breeden Jr. has given $50 million to support the future of business education and athletics at the University!
The donation will be evenly divided between funding for the McIntire Expansion Project and the Virginia Athletics Master Plan. When combined with $25 million in matching funds for the McIntire project, the gift will have a total impact of $75 million!
🔼 Double The Fun. The video scoreboard at Scott Stadium is about to get a whole lot bigger!
The schematic design for a new video scoreboard at the stadium, which at 6,500 square feet will more than double the size of the current 2,500 square foot scoreboard, was approved at the most recent University of Virginia Board of Visitors meeting.
🔼 What A Night. Virginia men’s soccer improved to 4-2-1 on the season with its 3-1 win over NC State on Saturday night.
The win was head coach George Gelnovatch’s 100th ACC victory, just the second coach in conference history to reach that number, and first to do it at one school.

🔼 Cup Roundup. Virginia volleyball split a pair of matchups at the Jefferson Cup over the weekend.
The Hoos took down Norfolk State in three sets on Friday. UVA hit .412 in the contest, the fourth-highest mark in a three-set match since 2001. Wofford got the best of Virginia on Saturday, winning in four sets.

🔼 Opening Draw. Virginia and Louisville women’s soccer opened up ACC play with a 1-1 draw In Kentucky on Saturday night.
The Cardinals struck first in the 58th minute, but Virginia’s Meredith McDermott scored the equalizer in the 80th minute.
🔼 Come Back Better. Virginia football was tied at the half on Friday with Maryland, but ultimately fell 42-14 to its longtime ACC rival.

🔼 Close ‘Til The End. Virginia field hockey dropped its ACC opener at home against Boston College on Friday.
The score was tied at 1-1 with less than three minutes remaining, before the Eagles scored the game-winning goal to take a 2-1 win. Taryn Tkachuk scored the lone goal for the Hoos.
