🔼 UVA Strong Game! Virginia football is back home at Scott Stadium tomorrow, hosting Delaware (2-1) at 6 p.m. in the final game of non-conference action for the Hoos.
The Virginia–Delaware game is the Cavaliers’ annual UVA Strong game. The UVA football program will honor the lives and memories of Lavel Davis Jr., Devin Chandler and D’Sean Perry, three football players who were tragically killed in a shooting on Grounds on Nov. 13, 2022.

The match, featuring Virginia, Georgia, Alabama and NC State, streams live on ESPN+ at 6:30 pm ET. The matches will be available internationally through DAZN.
🔼 Difference Maker! After 16 years overseeing the men’s lacrosse program at Lehigh University, Kevin Cassese left in 2023 to become the associate head coach at the University of Virginia.
Three years later, Chris Feifs made a similar career move. In June, he left the University of Vermont, where he’d led the program for 10 years, to help Cassese start a new chapter for UVA. Cassese took over as the Cavaliers’ head coach in May, and Feifs is his associate head coach and defensive coordinator.

Rousell Announces Addition of Damin Altizer to Women’s Basketball Staff. Altizer spent seven seasons as head boys’ varsity basketball coach at St. Anne’s-Belfield School and one season on the girl’s side at Covenant. At St. Anne’s Belfield, he led the Saints to four consecutive conference championships from 2022-2025. During his time as a high school coach at St. Anne’s-Belfield and Covenant, Altizer has been named conference coach of the year on four occasions and coached 10 players that went on to play for NCAA Division I programs.
