🔼 Hoos Roll Under The Lights! In the first of its two Friday night games at Scott Stadium this season, 25th-ranked Virginia football rolled to a 59-3 victory over Norfolk State, a determined but outmanned FCS team.
The Cavaliers led 28-3 at intermission, after which the coaching staff substituted liberally. Virginia’s backups shined, too, scoring four second-half touchdowns, the last coming on a 50-yard interception return by second-year linebacker Justin Rowe.

🔼 Two In One! No. 11 Virginia field hockey earned a pair of wins over the weekend, the first a ranked road win against No. 13 Liberty in Lynchburg, 2-1, and the second a lopsided home win against James Madison on Sunday!

🔼 Fought The Flames! Virginia men’s soccer secured its third win of the season on Saturday at home against Liberty thanks in large part to a first-half brace from AJ Smith!
🔼 Running Home! Virginia cross country hosted the Virginia Invitational at Panorama Farms on Friday morning, with the women’s squad running to a second-place finish, while the men finished third.
Stella Kermes finished second individually in the women’s race to lead the Hoos. Luke Hnatt finished 10th overall in the men’s race.
🔼 Serves Up! Both Virginia tennis programs began their fall seasons over the weekend — the men’s team tallied 10 singles victories at their three-day home event, while Shannon Lam won the singles flight at the Kitty Harrison Invitational for the women!

🔼 Teeing It Up! Virginia men’s golf played the first round of the Inverness Intercollegiate on Sunday, with Josh Duangmanee leading the charge for the Hoos in 18th place after carding a 2-over 73.
🔼 Top-10 Battle. No. 10 Virginia women’s soccer opened ACC play at No. 3 Wake Forest on Saturday, falling to the Demon Deacons, 1-0.
Virginia appeared to equalize in the 85th minute as a ball recycled out wide on the left side was served to the back post by Carrie Helfrich. Ella Carter made the run and headed it in to knot things at one, but VAR deemed the Hoos were just offside and waved the goal off.
🔼 Out In Orlando. Virginia volleyball traveled to Orlando over the weekend to play at UCF, falling in three tight sets to the Knights.
Outside hitter Reagan Ennist led the Cavaliers with 11 kills while setter Hannah Scott dished out 18 assists.
