Gretchen Walsh, Emma Weber and Kate Douglass all collected gold medals for Team USA in the 4×100 Medley Relay, setting a world-record time of 3:49.63.

Team USA took down Japan in extra time, with Sonnett drawing the start and playing every minute.

🔼 Cavalier Swimmers Win Gold, Silver And Bronze On Day Eight Of Paris 2024
Gretchen Walsh won gold as a member of the Mixed 4×100 Medley Relay, Katie Douglass won silver in the 200 IM and Paige Madden won bronze in the 800 Free.

🔼 Heidi Long And Great Britain Women’s Eight Claim Bronze At Paris 2024 Olympic Games
Long, who made her Olympic debut in Paris, and Great Britain finished the A Final with a time of 5:59.51 to hold off Australia for the bronze medal.

🔼 Final Tally. The swimming portion of the 2024 Paris Olympics has come to an end, and Virginia swimmers are officially hardware hoarders — current and former Hoos combined for five gold medals, five silver medals and a bronze medal!
