🔼 The Hoos Are Ready. It has been nearly 300 days since Virginia football last played.

Since then, the Hoos have dealt with the tragic loss of three players — Lavel Davis Jr., Devin Chandler and D’Sean Perry. At the memorial service for Davis, Chandler and Perry last fall, head coach Tony Elliott vowed to work to turn tragedy into triumph.

🔼 Not Their Night. The No. 6 Virginia Cavalier field hockey team dropped a midweek matchup with No. 14 Liberty last night, 3-1.

Daniela Mendez-Trendler scored the lone goal for Virginia.

The Hoos are now 1-1 on the season, with a matchup at No. 11 Saint Joseph’s next up on Friday.
