The Hoos secured a 1-0 win over Iona in their season opener on Thursday evening, a Daniel Mangarov goal in the 70th minute being the difference.

🔼 Hard-Fought Draw. No. 5 Virginia women’s soccer played Michigan to a 0-0 draw at home on Thursday night.

The Hoos controlled much of the match, with 15 shots to the Wolverines’ five, but couldn’t find the net.

Virginia is back in action this Sunday evening at George Mason.

The Hoos begin their season tonight in Charlottesville versus Rider in the first match of the Cavalier Classic, with a matchup against either Rutgers or North Carolina A&T to follow on Saturday.
