Virginia women’s soccer hosts Nevada this evening at 7:00 PM, officially kicking off the fall sports season at UVA!

The Hoos are coming off a 16-4-3 season in 2022, while the Wolfpack were 3-12-3 a year ago.

🔼 Watch Out. Virginia men’s soccer’s Leo Afonso earned a pair of honors on Wednesday in the lead-up to the Hoos’ season opener on August 24 against Iona.

Afonso was named to the ACC Preseason watch list, and was also listed among forwards on the United Soccer Coaches Players to Watch List.

🔼 Two Move On. Ben James and Rui Chang won their Round of 64 matches at the 2023 U.S. Amateur Championship on Wednesday, advancing to play on Thursday.

James will face SMU’s Zach Kingsland in the Round of 32, while Chang is matched up against Tennessee’s Caleb Surratt.
