🔼 One Shot Back. Virginia men’s golfer Ben James finds himself in second place after Day 1 of the U.S. Amateur Championship at Cherry Hills Country Club, one shot back from the leader.
James shot a five-under 67, and made birdie on his final two holes to make a jump up the leaderboard.
🔼 On The World Stage. Hoos fans, make sure to tune into the FIBA World Cup this summer, you won’t want to miss any Mike Tobey-Luka Doncic pick-and-rolls (like this one)!
Tobey, who graduated from UVA in 2016, made the Slovenian national team for the upcoming tournament.

🔼 Winner, Winner. Virginia men’s tennis senior Chris Rodesch’s fantastic summer continues — the MVP of this year’s NCAA Tournament won a singles title at the ITF World Tennis Tour 25K in Southaven, Miss. this past weekend.
Notably, Rodesch topped top-seed Aidan McHough, who is ranked No. 388 in the world, in the quarterfinals.
