The Hoos are focused on running the ball this fall!

Good Morning, Hoos! The Virginia men’s golf program was one of 75 Division I programs to receive the Platform Golf Team Academic Award annually given by the Golf Coaches Association of America!

⚔️ And much, much more!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Momentous Donation. The Virginia Athletics Foundation (VAF) and Virginia Athletics are excited to announce a historic $2.2 million anonymous commitment, representing a $2.7 million total fundraising impact when coupled with university matching funds, to support scholarships for UVA’s men’s swimming student-athletes.

🔼 Ground And Pound. Virginia football head coach Tony Elliott and offensive coordinator Des Kitchings enter 2025 as committed to the run game as they were heading into their first season at Virginia, and with several key pieces now in place, the Hoos could soon be breaking the will of opposing defenses.

🔼 Walk The Walk. Virginia running back Xavier Brown has been named to the 2025 Doak Walker Award preseason watch list!

A Fourth Team Preseason All-ACC selection, according to Athlon Sports, Brown appeared in 11 games last year and finished second on the team in both rushing yards (488) and rushing yards per game (44.4).

🔼 Welcome Aboard. Virginia rowing head coach Wesley Ng has announced the addition of Sophia Luwis as an assistant coach!

Luwis served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator with the Stanford lightweight women’s rowing team in 2024-25.

🔼 Do-It-All. We only have 24 more days until Virginia football is back on the field for its 2025 season opener at Scott Stadium against Coastal Carolina!

Olamide Zaccheaus, who played for Virginia from 2015-18, scored 24 touchdowns as a Hoo — 22 through the air and another pair on the ground!
