🔼 Paint The Town Orange. Game day is right around the corner, and Virginia announced that its season opener this Saturday will mark the annual Paint The Town Orange celebration with the pep rally, presented by the UVA Community Credit Union, on Friday, August 29 at Ting Pavilion beginning at 8 p.m. The pep rally is free to attend, and festivities get underway at 5 p.m. with the Fridays After Five concert series. UVA cheerleaders and spirit squad members will share giveaways, including the 2025 Virginia Football poster. We’ll see you there!

🔼 Historic Endowment. Virginia Athletics and the Virginia Athletics Foundation announced a historic $3 million anonymous gift to endow scholarships for UVA women’s lacrosse. And with the University’s Bicentennial Scholarship Fund offering a 50% match, that means the full impact of this commitment will reach $4.5 million. It’s the biggest single-spot scholarship endowment commitment to a women’s program in school history.

🔼 A New Season. There’s a brand-new episode of the Basket Under Review podcast, and this time, it features none other than Ryan Odom!

🔼 Preseason Rankings. It’s shaping up to be a special season on the course for Virginia men’s golf! The team checked in at No. 2 in the nation in the Golfweek preseason rankings, the highest preseason rank for the program in its history!
⛳ The Hoos will be in action for the first time this season at the Invitational at The Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tenn., from September 15-16.

The event will be held at the Virginia Tennis Facility at the Boar’s Head Resort. Both men’s and women’s tennis squads will be on hand to meet and greet fans, while guests will enjoy food, games, and activities for kids.

🔼 On The Road. No. 11 Virginia men’s soccer is on the road today! The Cavaliers (2-0) will take on George Mason (0-1) this evening at 7:00 p.m. The match will be streamed live on ESPN+. Virginia brings an eight-game winning streak against the Patriots into the contest.
