📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Strong On Defense! In 2025, the University of Virginia football team entered October averaging 45.6 points per game. As the caliber of opponents increased, the Cavaliers’ offense wasn’t able to sustain that level of productivity, and much was asked of their defense as the season progressed.

Defensive coordinator John Rudzinski’s group delivered.

Over the final eight games of a season in which UVA recorded a program-record 11 victories, its opponents averaged only 16.4 points. The Wahoos finished the season ranked second among ACC teams in scoring defense (19.6 ppg), third in fewest yards allowed per game (309.5), fourth in sacks (31) and fourth in interceptions (14).

🔼 The World Is Hers! Virginia swimmer Sara Curtis has broken the world record in the women’s 50m Back in a time of 26.63!

🔼 1-0! No. 11 Virginia women’s soccer got off to a hot start on Wednesday in its season opener against Northwestern, beating the Wildcats, 3-1, at Klöckner Stadium!

Addison Halpern, Gio Canali and Aniyah Collier all scored within the first 41 minutes of the match for the Hoos.

🔼 In The Industry! Virginia women’s lacrosse alumna Dana Boyle has become one of the faces of lacrosse on ESPN!

🔼 Leading The Offense! We have 16 days until Virginia football is back inside Scott Stadium for its Week 0 matchup on Saturday, August 29 against NC State!

Chandler Morris threw for 3,000 yards and 16 touchdowns last season as Virginia’s starting quarterback, leading the Hoos to 11 wins, including a victory against Missouri in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl.
