🔼 One Of The Best! Virginia men’s soccer third-year transfer Arnold Matshazi has been named to the 2026 MAC Hermann Trophy Midfielders to Watch list!
Matshazi arrives at Virginia after a 2025 campaign in which he netted 12 goals at San Jose State. He was a first team All-WAC selection as well as a first team All-Far West Region selection last season. All 12 of his goals came from open play last season and six counted as game-winners.

Jordan Ellis, who played at Virginia from 2015-18, scored 19 rushing touchdowns as a Hoo while running for nearly 2,000 yards in his career, including 1,026 yards in his senior season.

Virginia Football Roster Update. Jacob Holmes and Cazeem Moore will be integrated into Virginia football preseason activities as the program assesses matters associated with their return.
Holmes and Moore were both members of last year’s UVA squad that won a school-record 11 games and prevailed 13-7 over Missouri in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. The duo was part of a Cavaliers defensive unit that ranked second in the ACC in in scoring defense (19.6 ppg) and third in the ACC in total defense (309.5 ypg).
