🔼 Headed To Japan. Four Hoos are headed to Fukuoka, Japan to compete with Team USA at the World Championships!

Kate Douglass won two events (200 IM, 100 free) at the 2023 US Phillips 66 Nationals to qualify. Alex Walsh (200 IM, 400 IM), Gretchen Walsh (50 free, 100 fly, 50 fly) and Maxine Parker (100 free relay team) also qualified for Team USA.

UVA associate head coach Blaire Bachman will also travel with the team to Japan as a coach.

🔼 Dr. Matteo. Jackson Matteo earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology from UVA in 2016, a master’s in higher education in 2017, and a doctorate in education this spring.

To his players at Woodberry Forest School, though, he’s Coach Matteo.

⚔️ Seven Cavaliers Compete In Finals On Day Four At US Phillips 66 Nationals. Noah Nichols broke a 20-year UVA school record in the 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 59.40.

⚔️ George Gelnovatch Announces 2023 Men’s Soccer Incoming Class. The Hoos will welcome in eight freshmen and five transfers.
