Men’s soccer alum Joe Bell and Team New Zealand kicked off pool play yesterday, picking up a 2-1 win over Guinea. Bell was in the starting lineup for New Zealand and played the entire game in the midfield.

🔼 Still Growing. Virginia rowing head coach Wesley Ng continues to fill out his staff — the latest is Taylor Ruden, who will serve as an assistant coach for the Hoos!

Ruden served as an assistant coach at Ohio State for the past four seasons, where she helped the Buckeyes to a Big Ten championship in 2022 and four NCAA Championship appearances.

🔼 Precious Medals. Four incoming Virginia squash players competed at the 2024 WSF World Junior Squash Championships this past week, and two of them have some new hardware to show for it!

Juan Jose Torres Lara led Colombia to a bronze on the men’s side, and Maria Min earned bronze with the Canadian women.
