🔼 Signed Up. Virginia men’s basketball head coach Ryan Odom has announced the signing of Thijs De Ridder, a skilled power forward who played the last two seasons for Surne Bilbao Basket in Spain’s Liga Endesa!
In 2024-25, De Ridder averaged 9.3 points and 4.8 rebounds, shooting 50.2 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from 3-point range. De Ridder averaged 6.4 points and 4.2 rebounds per game on 51.5 percent shooting from the field and 36 percent from 3-point range in 2023-24.

🔼 Grading Out Well. The Virginia men’s track and field trio of Will Anthony, Gary Martin and Alex Sherman have been named to the 2024-25 Academic All-America Team!

🔼 In The Pool. Seven Virginia swimmers will be competing for Team USA at the 2-25 FISU World University Games, being held July 17-23 at the Schwimm-und Sprunghalle im Europasportpark (SSE) in Berlin, Germany.
Katie Christopherson, Cavan Gormsen, Leah Hayes, Tess Howley, Maxine Parker, Emma Weber, and David King all earned invitations based on their performances at the 2025 Toyota U.S. National Championships, which took place from June 2 to 7 in Indianapolis, Ind.

🔼 On The Beach. USA Field Hockey has announced its roster for the 2025 Senior Nexus Championship, and Virginia has eight players on the team!
Mary Adams, Rylee Dennis, Emma Giesting, Soren Kipphut, Catalina Quinteros, Riley Savage, Lauren Sloan and Cassidy Thibodeau will all suit up for the United States, while Bella Moore, Caroline Raynes and Mia Abello were selected but will not participate.

🔼 Upset At Scott Stadium. We only have 44 more days until Virginia football is back on the field for its 2025 season opener at Scott Stadium against Coastal Carolina!
Today is a Throwback Thursday — Virginia football took down No. 15 North Carolina on Nov. 1, 2020 inside Scott Stadium by a final score of 44-41, with six different Hoos scoring touchdowns against the Tar Heels!
