🔼 Academic Excellence. The Virginia men’s basketball team received a Team Academic Excellence Award from the NABC! The award recognizes programs that completed the academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. Plus, three Cavaliers were named to the Honors Court — Devin Tillis, Dallin Hall, and Carter Lang.

🔼 Schedule’s Set. The 2026 Virginia field hockey schedule is here! The schedule features 14 regular-season games, including six at home. The regular-season begins on Aug. 28 at Penn State before the Hoos travel to New Jersey for the Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Sept. 4. The first home game is set for Sept. 13 when James Madison comes to town.

🔼 Upset At Scott Stadium! We have 44 days until Virginia football is back inside Scott Stadium for its Week 0 matchup on Saturday, August 29 against NC State!

Today is a Throwback Thursday — Virginia football took down No. 15 North Carolina on Nov. 1, 2020 inside Scott Stadium by a final score of 44-41, with six different Hoos scoring touchdowns against the Tar Heels!

Gracia, Becker Selected On Day One Of MLB Draft. Virginia juniors AJ Gracia and Eric Becker were both selected on the first day of the 2026 MLB Draft. Gracia, an outfielder, was picked ninth overall by the Atlanta Braves in the first round while Becker was taken 58th overall by the Cincinnati Reds in the second round.

On day two of the MLB Draft, a trio of Cavaliers heard their names called. Kyle Johnson was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays, Joe Tiroly was selected by the San Diego Padres, and Tyler Kapa was drafted by the Miami Marlins.
