🔼 Great First Day. Ethan Dabbs is a silver medalist at the NCAA Championships in the men’s javelin with a toss of 79.27m!
It was also a great night in the men’s 3,000m steeplechase, as both Nate Mountain and Derek Johnson advanced to the finals of the event. Mountain qualified in a time of 8:38.31, while Johnson crossed the finish line in 8:35.85.
Conor Murphy did his part too, qualifying for the finals in the men’s 800m in a time of 1:48.00.

🔼 Palmer Ready. Amanda Sambach and Ben James are ready to tee it up today on day one of the Arnold Palmer Cup, held at Laurel Valley Golf Club in Ligonier, Pa.
The Arnold Palmer Cup is a Ryder Cup-style tournament, with some of the top men’s and women’s collegiate golfers playing for the United States and International teams.

🔼 Star At Third. Virginia baseball’s Jake Gelof has been named the Baseball Division I CSC Academic All-America Team Member of the Year!
Gelof is the third Virginia student-athlete to win the award this year, along with Ben Vander Plas (men’s basketball) and Lexi Cuomo (women’s swimming).

🔼 McLeod’s The Man. Virginia football alum Rodney McLeod is ready to make an impact with the Cleveland Browns this fall.

🔼 Come On In. Virginia volleyball has gained a commitment from Maryland transfer Milan Gomillion, head coach Shannon Wells announced on Wednesday.
Gomillion, the starting libero for the Terps the last two seasons, has two years of eligibility left for Virginia. She led the Big Ten in digs per set (4.67) during her freshman year, and was sixth last season.
