🔼 Super Excited. It’s Virginia baseball game day!

The Hoos take on Kansas State in Game 1 of the Charlottesville Super Regional today at 7 p.m., with the winner of the three-game series punching its ticket to Omaha for the College World Series.

Both the Hoos and Wildcats swept their way through the regional round, Kansas State earning wins against Louisiana Tech, Arkansas and Southeast Missouri State in the Fayetteville Regional last weekend.

🔼 Officially Open. UVA opened the doors to the football program’s new operations center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday — check it out!

🔼 Toe The Line. The Virginia men are back in action today, with Nate Mountain (3000m steeplechase), Yasin Sado (3000m steeplechase), Shane Cohen (800m) and Wes Porter (1500m) all running in the finals of their respective events.

🔼 We Meet Again. This weekend won’t be the first time Margot Appleton competes in a 5000m race at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.

Saturday’s women’s 5000m final at the NCAA Championships will bear little resemblance to that race, though, a girls’ 5000m at the Nike Outdoor Nationals when she was a high school senior.

🔼 Four More. The Intercollegiate Tennis Association has announced its Division I Men’s All-Americans, and four Hoos made the list!

Chris Rodesch and Dylan Dietrich were named singles All-Americans, while Iñaki Montes and James Hopper earned the accolade in doubles.

🔼 Thrice As Nice. Three Virginia women’s tennis standouts were named ITA All-Americans on Thursday — Annabelle Xu is a singles All-American, while Mélodie Collard and Elaine Chervinsky earned All-American status in doubles.
