🔼 Wahoo Weekend. Virginia men’s tennis head coach Andres Pedroso and Virginia volleyball head coach Shannon Wells stopped by Wahoo HQ for the most recent episode of the Wahoo Central Podcast!
🔼 Mr. All-American. Kyle Teel is really starting to hoard these All-American honors.
Also on the awards front, Teel on Thursday was named the 2023 Buster Posey Award winner, given to the nation’s top college catcher.

🔼 Hit The Ground Running. Virginia alum Andrew Abbott didn’t allow a run in his first three Big League starts for Cincinnati.
In fact to this point, he’s only allowed four earned runs total in five starts.
🔼 World Cup Wing. Virginia’s Taine Murray has been named one of 21 athletes to make New Zealand’s Tall Black’s extended FIBA World Cup squad.
Murray, a sophomore guard who hails from Auckland, played in 13 games for the Hoos last season.

Representing Their Country. Virginia baseball players Griff O’Ferrall and Jay Woolfolk on Thursday were selected to the 31-man Collegiate National Team roster.

⚔️ Gretchen Walsh Wins 50 Fly At US Phillips 66 Nationals. The junior Walsh added an individual event to her World Championship schedule with her win in the 50-meter butterfly.
⚔️ Virginia Field Hockey Announces 2023 Schedule. The 2023 slate includes 16 contests, including seven at home.
⚔️ Virginia Men’s Tennis Takes Top VaSID All-State Honors. Head coach Andres Pedroso won Coach of the Year honors, while Chris Rodesch took home Player of the Year.
⚔️ Owayne Owens, Derek Johnson Land CSC Academic All-American Honors. Owens was named a First Team member, while Johnson earned Second Team honors.
