🔼 Run Fast, Run Far. Thursday was a busy day for the Hoos at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Team Trials!

Shane Cohen ran a 1:46.83 in the men’s 800m to advance to the semifinals, and Alex Sherman ran a 50.76 in the men’s 400m hurdles to advance in that event.

Margot Appleton ran a 4:17.44 in the women’s 1500m run to finishes 32nd, and Jacob Lemmon finished 15th in the men’s discus with a throw of 58.81.

🔼 Come On In. Virginia women’s lacrosse head coach Sonia LaMonica announced this week that Lara Kology has signed with the Hoos and will join the team for the 2024-25 season!

Kology transfers in from Florida, where she made four starts and appeared in 23 games for the Gators in 2024.

🔼 Key Three. Virginia squash head coach Mark Allen has announced the addition of Princeton transfer Karim Elbarbary to the men’s program, and the return of Meagan Best and Maria Moya to the women’s program for the upcoming season!
