🔼 USA On His Chest. Pack your bags Ethan Anderson, you’re headed to Cary, N.C., to participate in USA Baseball Collegiate National Team training camp!
Anderson, Virginia’s first baseman, joins teammates Griff O’Ferrall and Jay Woolfolk at training camp, which features 56 of the top non-draft eligible college players from across the country.
At the end of training camp, USA Baseball will name a 26-man roster that will represent the red, white and blue against Chinese Taipei and Japan from June 30-July 12.
🔼 All-Time Great. From 2000-2003, Matt Schaub completed 716 of his 1,069 pass attempts at Virginia, good for a 67% completion percentage!
Schaub was drafted in the third round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons, and spent 16 years in the NFL before retiring after the 2020 season.
We only have 67 more days until Virginia football!
🔼 Honors Rolling In. What a year it’s been for Ethan Dabbs. He finished his spring season as a four-time ACC champion in the javelin and runner-up in the event at the NCAA Championship.
The Hoos placed 37 total student-athletes on the All-ACC Academic teams, the fourth most of any ACC program.
🔼 Classroom Standouts. A whopping 29 student-athletes on the Virginia rowing team have been named to the All-ACC Academic Rowing Team.
To be nominated, student-athletes must have recorded a 3.0 GPA in the winter semester as well as a 3.0 career GPA, and also participate in the ACC Championship or NCAA Championship.
