🔼 Future Secured. University of Virginia Dean and Markel Families Men’s Head Basketball Coach Tony Bennett will be in Charlottesville a while longer!

On Thursday, Bennett signed an extension that will keep him under contract at UVA until April 30, 2030!

🔼 Game Day In Omaha. Virginia baseball kicks off the College World Series today at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN against North Carolina!

The Hoos and Tar Heels are very familiar with each other, having played a three-game series in Charlottesville earlier this season. Virginia took two-of-three in that series, scoring 28 runs in three games.

Depending on outcomes, the Hoos will play either Tennessee or Florida State on Sunday.

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association has announced that Alexander Kiefer is the national recipient of the 2024 Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship Award, which is presented to student-athletes who have exhibited outstanding sportsmanship and leadership, as well as scholastic, extracurricular and tennis achievements in ways that embody the legacy of Ashe.

🔼 Hoos Everywhere. The 2024 U.S. Swimming Olympic Team Trials are this weekend in Indianapolis, and Virginia will be well represented!

On top of Virginia head coach Todd DeSorbo serving as the U.S. Olympic Team’s women’s head coach this summer in Paris, there will be 25 competitors from last season’s roster, three former Hoos, and nine incoming first-years.
