🔼 Honoring Lavel, Devin and D’Sean. The Virginia Athletics Foundation and Virginia Athletics announced on Tuesday the creation of the 1.15.41 Memorial Scholarship Fund, which will honor the lives of Virginia football players Lavel Davis Jr., Devin Chandler and D’Sean Perry.
🔼 Historic Hoo. No one is more closely associated with UVA rowing than Kevin Sauer, who guided the program to varsity status in 1995 and retired this month after 29 seasons as head coach.
Sauer joined the Wahoo Central Podcast this week to reflect on his remarkable career.

🔼 Start Off Strong. The College World Series wants to see Virginia baseball right away — the Hoos will play the opening game of the tournament this Friday at 2 p.m. ET in Omaha against North Carolina!

Former Virginia tight end Jonathan Stupar caught 80 passes in his Cavalier career from 2004-07, but not before heart surgery jeopardized it all. Check out the video above to hear the story directly from Stupar, his teammates, and the doctors involved.
🔼 Paired Hoos. The U.S. Open has released its pairing for the first two rounds this week at Pinehurst No. 2 in Pinehurst, N.C., and the three Hoos in the field are all playing together!
UVA alums Denny McCarthy and Ben Kohles will play with current Hoo Ben James, with the group teeing off at 2:09 p.m. on Thursday and 8:24 a.m. on Friday.
