🔼 In The Field. Virginia men’s golf continued its strong play this week — current Hoos Ben James and Bryan Lee along with former Hoo George Duangmanee all punched their ticket to the 125th U.S. Open on Monday, on what is affectionately called “Golf’s Longest Day.”

🔼 Red, White & Hoo. Virginia women’s lacrosse’s Kate Galica is one of 24 players from across the country who have earned an invite to the US National Team Training Camp in preparation for this year’s Pan-American Women’s Lacrosse Championship!

🔼 Big Play Threat. We have 87 days until Virginia football is back on the field in its season opener at Scott Stadium against Coastal Carolina!

The No. 87 belongs to one of the best wide receivers in Virginia history, Herman Moore. A two-time All-American at Virginia, Moore caught 114 passes for 2,504 yards and 27 touchdowns during his time in Charlottesville. During his senior season in 1990, Moore led the ACC in yards and touchdowns and finished sixth in Heisman Trophy voting.

Donna Mahan To Step Away As CFO Of Virginia Athletics Foundation; Kyle Rae Named As Successor. After over 17 years of dedicated service to VAF, Mahan will step away from her role to pursue other opportunities and spend more time with family. Her final day with VAF will be Friday, July 11, 2025.
