🔼 Leaving A Legacy. Brian O’Connor leaves Virginia as a five-time ACC Coach of the Year winner, three-time national Coach of the Year and a national champion with the Hoos in 2015, while collecting more than 900 wins as head coach.

🔼 Is It Next Year Yet? For the University of Virginia men’s golf team, the postseason began April 24 in Bowling Green, Ky.

It ended more than a month later in Carlsbad, Calif., where UVA capped the greatest season in program history with a runner-up finish at the NCAA Championships.

“We gave it a good fight,” Virginia’s Bryan Lee said.

Before reaching unprecedented heights at the NCAA tournament, the Wahoos did the same at the ACC Championships in Bowling Green. After winning the stroke-play competition at ACCs for the first time—they finished eight shots ahead of second-place North Carolina—the Hoos were among the eight teams that advanced to match play at The Club at Old Stone.

🔼 Staff Gets Stronger. Virginia women’s hoops head coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton has announced the addition of Stacie Johnson to her staff as the director of basketball operations!

Johnson comes to UVA after serving as the director of operations and assistant to the general manager and head coach of the XFL’s DC Defenders. She previously held the role of assistant to the head men’s basketball coach and director of basketball operations at Cincinnati for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons.

🔼 Start Of A Special Run. We have 88 days until Virginia football is back on the field in its season opener at Scott Stadium against Coastal Carolina!

Virginia rattled off five straight wins to finish the 1988 season, which began the momentum of one of the best stretches in UVA history — 10 wins in 1989 and a No. 1 ranking in 1990. Quarterback Shawn Moore threw for more than 2,000 yards and 15 touchdowns in 1998, and scored 10 more touchdowns with his feet.
