🔼 Here And There! Virginia and Vanderbilt football have come to an agreement on a home-and-home series set to take place in Nashville in 2028 and Charlottesville in 2031!

🔼 Class Is In Session! The new head women’s basketball coach at the University of Virginia won’t have a full complement of players on Grounds until later in the summer, but he’s OK with that. Much can be accomplished in the meantime, and Aaron Roussell saw progress during the Cavaliers’ first week of summer workouts and practices.

🔼 Fastest EVER! Virginia swimming alumna Kate Douglass has broken the world record in the 50m Freestyle at the TYR Pro Swim Series event in Indianapolis, Indiana!
Douglass clocked a 23.59 in the final of the 50m Freestyle, taking two hundredths off the previous world record of 23.61, which was set by Sarah Sjostrom in 2023. Gretchen Walsh finished second in the event behind Douglass, coming in with a 23.78, moving her up to No. 5 on the all-time list in the event.

🔼 Finished Strong! Virginia track and field’s Cassie Callis and Ava Rice closed out competition at the USATF U20 Championships over the weekend — Callis finished third in the heptathlon and Rice ran 13.55 in the 100-meter hurdles, the sixth-fastest time in program history!
