🔼 Set Up For Success. In late March, ACC rivals Virginia and Duke played a three-game baseball series at Disharoon Park. Little did Chris Pollard know then that, two-and-a-half months later, he’d be calling the Dish home.
“It never crossed my mind,” Pollard said Thursday afternoon.

🔼 Crossed The Finish Line. Virginia track and field closed out competition at the NCAA Outdoor Championships over the weekend — the men on Friday and the women on Saturday.
Gary Martin finished fifth in the men’s 1500-meters to earn First Team All-American honors, while Will Daley notched Second Team All-American honors in the men’s 5000-meters.
Margot Appleton raced to a runner-up finish in the women’s 1500-meters in a time of 4:08.99 and a 13th-place finish in the women’s 5000-meters. Celia Rifaterra and Estel Valeanu earned All-American nods in the high jump and discus, respectively.
