🔼  Status Secured! Virginia track and field claimed a pair of All-American honors on Day 1 at the NCAA Championships, with Jeremiah Nubbe (First Team All-American) earning a fourth-place finish in the men’s hammer throw and Nikolaos Polychroniou (Second Team All-American) placing 10th in the event.

👟 RECAP: Day 1

🔼  Glory Days at UVA! On his first Friday in May without an official baseball responsibility in some time, Chris Taylor still managed to carry a bat – a Wiffle ball bat.

“I took my 2-year-old to the park, and we played,” Taylor said late last month.

Taylor is a recently unemployed father of two young boys. A member of the University of Virginia Baseball Hall of Fame, he announced his retirement from Major League Baseball on May 24 after 12 seasons.

🔼  Accelerator Program! Virginia men’s tennis junior Dylan Dietrich and sophomore Keegan Rice have qualified for this year’s ATP Next Gen Accelerator Program!

Created in 2023 to accelerate the professional development pathway for players in the American collegiate system, the ATP Next Gen Accelerator Program will once again offer men’s collegiate student-athletes an opportunity to jumpstart their professional careers on the ATP Challenger Tour.
