📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Comeback Denied. Virginia baseball jumped out to an 8-0 lead against James Madison on Wednesday evening, and then held on tight for a 9-8 win.

Ethan O’Donnell kept things rolling in the box, going 4-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and one driven in. Griff O’Ferrall also drove in a pair of runs from the leadoff spot.

The win over the Dukes improved Virginia’s non-conference record to 24-0, the only team still unblemished outside of conference play.

🔼 Hardwood Impact. Monica Wright Rogers has seen it all in the game of basketball.

After a record-setting career at Virginia, she made the jump to a championship-winning career with the Minnesota Lynx. After her WNBA career finished up, she came back and coached at her alma mater. After that, 18 months working in the NBA. Now, she’s back in a WNBA management role.

🔼 Invites Attached. Virginia men’s and women’s tennis will be well-represented at the NCAA Individuals Championships.

The men’s squad will be represented by Chris Rodesch, Iñaki Montes, Jeffrey von der Schulenburg and Ryan Goetz.

Julia Adams, Melodie Collard and Natasha Subhash will represent the women’s team.

🔼 Viva Las Vegas. What happens in Vegas…will go into the UVA record books!

The No. 3 seed Virginia men’s golf team will head to the desert for its NCAA Regional, the 15th consecutive year the Hoos have made the tournament.

A total of 81 teams will compete across six regional sites from May 15-17, with the top five teams and top individual (not qualifying with a team) advancing to the NCAA Championships.
