Hoos Brew 5/28: More Home Games!
The Hoos aren't quite done at the Dish this season!
Good morning! Take in some Bryce Perkins highlights with your coffee!
What else is brewing in today's Brew?
⛳️ More golf to be played
⚾️ More home games
⚔️ And much, much more!
📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Match Up. Virginia men’s golf has advanced to the match play portion of the NCAA Championships for the second year in a row!
The Hoos finished tied for third overall during stroke play at 11-over, and will match up against Auburn, which shot 19-over during stroke play, in the quarterfinals today. With a win, the Hoos would take on the winner of Vanderbilt-Ohio State in a semifinal matchup.
🔼 Welcome Home. Virginia baseball will be playing NCAA Tournament games at home!
Disharoon Park was named one of 16 host sites for the NCAA Regionals, meaning the Hoos will host a four-team, double-elimination tournament this Friday through Sunday.
Virginia is the No. 12 overall seed in the tournament, and will play host to Penn, St. Johns and Mississippi State.

🔼 End Of The Run. A program like Virginia men’s lacrosse doesn’t measure itself by Final Four appearances.
That said, the run the Hoos made to Philadelphia was an impressive one, especially considering they lost almost 20 players off last year’s team.

The Hoos experienced quite a bit of success overall at the NCAA East Prelims in Lexington, Ky., with eight men advancing on and three women, including Margot Appleton for the second consecutive season in the 5000m.
