🔼 In Position. Virginia men’s golf has saved its best for last, sitting in second place heading into the final round of stroke play at the NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, Calif.

The Hoos led the 30-team field after the first two days of competition, but shot a 3-over 291 on Sunday to drop back to second place behind Illinois.

Virginia will need to be among the top-eight teams in the field to advance to the match play portion of the NCAA Championships, currently holding a 16-shot advantage over Florida, which holds the eighth spot heading into Monday’s action.
