🔼 Finally — The Final Four. The wait is almost over! No. 6 seed Virginia men’s lacrosse plays its NCAA Semifinal game versus No. 7 seed Maryland tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. in Philadelphia, the 98th meeting all-time between the two storied programs.

Both the Hoos and the Terrapins are coming off come-from-behind wins in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament, Virginia against No. 3 seed Johns Hopkins and Maryland against No. 2 seed Duke.

🔼 Not One, Not Two... But SIX members of the Virginia men’s lacrosse team were named USILA All-Americans on Thursday, headlined by Connor Shellenberger being honored with the Lt. Col. JI Turnbull Outstanding Attackman award.

Shellenberger is the first player in school history to earn first-team status four times, and was joined in All-American status by Cole Kastner (second team), Chase Yager (second team), Payton Cormier (third team), Griffin Schutz (third team) and Ben Wayer (honorable mention).

🔼 Terrific Trio. Three members of the Virginia women’s lacrosse team were recognized as All-Americans by the IWLCA on Thursday — Morgan Schwab headlined the group as a second team member, while Maggie Bostain and Mackenzie Hoeg both landed on the third team.

🔼 Back For More. What does No. 4 seed Virginia baseball have ready for an encore after beating Georgia Tech 13-0 in its ACC Tournament opener?

The Hoos take on No. 5 seed Florida State today at 11 a.m. at Truist Field in Charlotte, looking to claim Pool D with a victory. The Seminoles also won their ACC Tournament opener versus Georgia Tech, 12-9.

🔼 Let’s Race. Virginia men’s track and field got competition started on Day 1 of the NCAA East Preliminaries with a pair of athletes punching tickets to the NCAA Championships and five others advancing to quarterfinal rounds.

Will Anthony qualified in the 10,000m with a time of 29:08.24, and John Fay qualified in the men’s hammer throw with a toss of 64.65m.

Janae Profit did the qualifying on Thursday on the women’s side, placing 12th overall in the shot put.

🔼 Final Swing. Virginia men’s golf is all set to make its walk to the first tee box today at the NCAA Championships at the Omni LaCosta Resort Course in Carlsbad, Calif.

Well, not quite — the Hoos will tee off from the 10th hole, and will be paired with Texas Tech and Oklahoma during Friday’s opening round. But you know what we mean!
