🔼 Ticket Punched. No. 3 seed UVA men’s golf held firm in third place all week at the NCAA Las Vegas Regional, punching its ticket to the NCAA Championships in Scottsdale, Ariz.
For the fifth time this season, Ben James claimed a tournament victory, sharing medalist honors with San Francisco’s Matthew Anderson at 20-under par. James is the first Hoo to ever win an NCAA Regional.
As a team, Virginia shot a 54-hole total of 49-under 815, 10 shots back of Arizona State, which won the Regional at 59-under.

🔼 Quarters Calling. No team has been more dominant than Virginia men’s tennis this postseason - the Hoos have claimed 4-0 victories over Navy, Ole Miss and Duke.
The Wildcats are battle-tested this postseason, with back-to-back 4-3 wins over Northwestern and Stanford to get to the quarterfinals.

🔼 One More For The Road. The Hoos are in Atlanta this weekend to finish up the regular season against Georgia Tech.
With the ACC Baseball Championship starting early next week, the regular season finale with the Yellow Jackets will take on a Thursday-Friday-Saturday schedule.
With three games to go, Virginia controls its destiny in the ACC Coastal - a sweep of Georgia Tech would give the Hoos the division crown.

⚔️ Jake Gelof, Nick Parker Garner CSC Academic All-District Distinction. The 2023 Academic All-District Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom.
⚔️ Four Softball Hoos Named CSC Academic All-District Selections. Gabby Baylog, Jenny Bressler, Sarah Coon and Lauren VanAssche were all recognized for academic achievement and success on the playing field.
⚔️ Former Hoo Earns Doctorate of Education. Jackson Matteo, a former offensive lineman and graduate assistant for the Virginia football program, is now Dr. Matteo.
