📈 STOCK UP

The Hoos shot a 14-under 274 on the day, and after two days sit at 33-under as a team.

Ben James leads the way for Virginia through two rounds, sitting at 13-under and in a tie for third overall, one shot back from the lead.

The top five teams following today’s final round will advance to the NCAA Championships later this month in Scottsdale, Ariz.

🔼 Brotherly Love. This is Brian O’Connor’s 20th season as head coach at Virginia. Kyle and Aidan Teel are the seventh set of brothers to play for him.

“I’m proud of it, because it speaks to the experience that the family believes they’ve had with the baseball program, and that’s very, very important to me,” O’Connor said.

🔼 Tip Top. Former Virginia pitcher Andrew Abbott is one of the top prospects in all of baseball - in MLB Pipeline’s recently-updated Top 100 list, Abbott slots in right at No. 100.

Abbott, a member of the Cincinnati Reds organization, started this season at Double A Chattanooga, where he had a 1.15 ERA through three starts and earned himself a quick promotion to Triple A Louisville.

The lefty from Republican Grove, Va., struck out 327 hitters in his UVA career, the second-most in school history.

🔼 Hoos In The Playoffs. A pair of former Hoos are set to tip off in the Eastern Conference Finals tonight in Boston.

Malcolm Brogdon and Sam Hauser will both suit up for the Celtics against the Miami Heat with a spot in the NBA Finals on the line.

Brogdon has averaged 14.8 points per game during the playoffs in close to 28 minutes per game, while Hauser has played more of a reserve role, averaging just over eight minutes per contest.
