🔼 Win Or Go Home. No. 5 seed Virginia women’s lacrosse begins NCAA Tournament play today, hosting Long Island at 3 p.m. on ESPN Plus.

This is Virginia’s second-straight year being named the No. 5 seed, and also the second-straight year the Cavaliers host LIU in the opening round. The Hoos won 21-6 last season.

🔼 Doubled Up. A pair of Virginia men’s lacrosse standouts earned All-American nods from USA Lacrosse on Thursday — defenseman John Schroter and long-stick midfielder Ben Wayer.

🔼 Volunteering This Weekend. No. 7 seed Virginia women’s tennis plays one last home match this weekend, hosting No. 10 seed Tennessee today at 4 p.m. in the NCAA Round of 16.

The Volunteers swept both Elon and No. 26 Pepperdine during the first weekend of NCAA Tournament play.

🔼 Sweet 16. No. 7 seed Virginia men’s tennis continues its NCAA Tournament run this weekend, hosting No. 10 seed Arizona tomorrow at 1 p.m. in the Round of 16.

The Wildcats are winners of 11 matches in a row, including three at the Big 12 Championships and sweeps of both Denver and Harvard so far in the NCAA Tournament.

🔼 Home Field Advantage. Virginia baseball has its final weekend at the Dish upcoming, with a chance to bolster its postseason resume with a three-game series against Miami.

The Hurricanes are 30-18 so far this season and 14-9 in ACC action, and are winners of six straight heading into the weekend.

🔼 NCAAs Next. No. 25 Virginia softball’s run at the ACC Championships came to an end on Thursday, falling 7-4 to No. 15 Clemson.

With a pair of RBI against the Tigers, Macee Eaton set the Virginia program record for single-season RBI with 59 so far this spring.

Virginia will find out the next opponent on the season with the NCAA selection show on Sunday. The NCAA Tournament brackets and field will be announced live on ESPN at 7 p.m.
