🔼  Moving On! No. 6 seed Virginia softball scored a walk-off win in the opening round of the ACC Championships at Palmer Park on Wednesday, with Kamyria Woody-Giggetts scoring from second base following a bunt from Kelsey Hackett to beat No. 11 seed Pitt, 2-1!

Virginia will face No. 3 seed Virginia Tech on Thursday night in the second round of the ACC Tournament. First pitch in the matchup with the Hokies is set for 7:30 p.m. at Palmer Park.

🔼  All-ACC Hoos! Three Virginia softball players were tabbed for All-ACC honors on Wednesday — Junior first baseman Macee Eaton was named to the All-ACC First Team, while junior third baseman Bella Cabral and junior pitcher Julia Cuozzo were named to the All-ACC Third Team.

🔼  Another Round! Virginia men’s golf has earned the top seed at the Bermuda Run NCAA Regional in Winston-Salem, N.C. scheduled for May 18-20 at Bermuda Run Country Club!

🔼  Golf’s Greats! Virginia men’s golfers Paul Chang and Ben James are two of 15 golfers named to the Fred Haskins Award presented by Stifel Postseason Watch List!

The Haskins Award honors the year’s outstanding college golfer and the memory of Fred Haskins, a club professional that spent his life nurturing and mentoring amateur golfers.

🔼  That’s A Wrap! Virginia track and field put a bow on its regular season on Wednesday at the Liberty Twilight Qualifier, with several top-10 performances for the Hoos in Lynchburg!

🔼  On The Bench! Virginia volleyball head coach Shannon Wells has announced the addition of Ryan Wills as an assistant coach!

Wills arrives to Grounds after a year on staff at Liberty.

Alex Jackson Earns ACC Field and Freshman of the Week Honors. In his second collegiate competition, Virginia freshman Alex Jackson recorded new personal best marks in the shot put and discus throw. Jackson threw for 17.41m/57-1.5 to finish fourth and become No. 9 all-time and No. 5 among freshmen in program history. His mark also ranks No. 9 and No. 3 among freshmen in the ACC this season.
