🔼 Clinched the Clash. Virginia baseball finished up a series win over Virginia Tech on Saturday, winning 3-1 in the rubber match to clinch the Smithfield Commonwealth Clash for the second season in a row.
At 16-11 in ACC play, the Hoos have earned the No. 6 seed in this week’s ACC Championship in Durham, N.C., and will play the winner of No. 11 seed Notre Dame vs. No. 14 seed Boston College on Wednesday at 9 p.m.

🔼 ACC CHAMPS! Virginia track and field closed out a thrilling ACC Championship meet over the weekend, with the women’s program claiming the ACC title for the first time since 1987 with 93 total points!
One of the Cavaliers’ individual champions at the ACC meet was Celia Rifaterra, a junior from Madrid, Spain, who won the women’s high jump on Saturday. Click below for a story on Rifaterra from last week.

🔼 Another Round. Virginia women’s golf is through three rounds at the NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, Calif., sitting in a tie for 10th place at 12-over as a team. Megan Propeck has led the way for the Hoos individually at 3-under, tied for eighth place.
As one of the top-15 teams in the tournament, Virginia has advanced to Monday’s stroke play round.
⛳️ LEADERBOARD: NCAA Women’s Golf Championships

🔼 Season Finale. No. 2 seed Virginia softball’s season ended in the NCAA Columbia Regional over the weekend, losing a pair of games to No. 3 seed North Florida over the course of two days, with a win over No. 4 seed Elon in between.

🔼 Eight Is Great. Virginia men’s tennis bowed out of the NCAA Tournament on Friday, falling 4-3 to No. 2 TCU in the quarterfinals in Waco, Texas.
TCU (26-3) took the doubles point before Virginia (23-8) added singles wins on the top two courts to take a 2-1 lead. The Horned Frogs picked up wins on courts three and five to retake the lead before the Cavaliers tied the match with a victory on court four. TCU clinched the victory with a three-set win on court six.

🔼 Runners-Up. No. 13 Virginia rowing used a pair of second-place finishes in the top two races to finished second overall at the 2025 ACC Rowing Championship on Saturday.
Virginia placed second in the Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Eight, fourth in the Second Varsity Four, fifth in the Third Varsity Eight and seventh in the Varsity Four.

Ben James Named A Finalist For Haskins Award. James is ranked No. 4 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings and leads the NCAA Championship bound Cavaliers in stroke average 70.07. He has turned in seven top 10 finishes in the 10 tournaments he’s competed in for UVA in 2024-25 including a win at the Valero Texas Collegiate in September. With a sixth-place finish in stroke play at ACC Championships, James broke the UVA program record with his 24th top 10 finish of his career.
