What else do we have brewing this morning?

🔼  Elite Eight! No. 4 seed Virginia men’s tennis makes its 19th appearance in the NCAA Quarterfinals in the last 21 seasons today, playing No. 5 seed Mississippi State at 7 p.m. in Athens, Ga.!

The Hoos are looking to leave Athens, where they won the NCAA title in 2017, with the program’s seventh crown. They’ve won two NCAA championships (2022 and ’23) under head coach Andres Pedroso.

🔼  Headed To The ‘Ship! Following a three-team playoff for the final two positions above the cut, the Virginia women’s golf team advanced to its fifth consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championship on Wednesday at the Chapel Hill Regional!

🔼  Closing Time! Virginia baseball closes out the regular season on the road this weekend, traveling to Louisville for a three-game ACC series against the Cardinals!

Louisville is 28-25 overall this season and 11-16 in ACC action, with a 7-5 mark at home during conference play.

🔼  Postseason Push! The regular season is in the rearview mirror for Virginia track and field, which is in Louisville this week to compete at the ACC Outdoor Championships!

🔼  At Full Strength! Like most of the team’s other projected starters, tight end Dakota Twitty played only a few series in the University of Virginia’s spring game last month at Scott Stadium. Still, that was enough to remind fans how much No. 9 means to the Cavaliers’ offense, and it reminded Twitty how much he’d missed football when he was sidelined last season.

Today’s Trivia Question: How many times in the last 18 seasons has Virginia men’s tennis advanced to the national semifinals?
