🔼  Kickoff In Brazil! The Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Tuesday that Virginia football’s season opener against NC State on Aug. 29 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil will kick at 3:30 p.m. ET. The contest will air live on ESPN and can be heard on the Virginia Sports Radio Network.

🔼  Still Swingin’. Virginia women’s golf sits in sixth place after two days at the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional, five strokes behind Mississippi State for the final place above the projected cut.

Jaclyn LaHa leads the way for the Hoos individually, sitting in eighth place heading into the tournament’s final day Wednesday.

🔼  Midweek Momentum! Virginia baseball scored five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning Tuesday to finish off an 18-6 run-rule victory over Richmond in the final home game of the regular season!

Harrison Didawick paced the UVA offense by going 3-for-6 with a double and four RBIs. AJ Gracia and Antonio Perrotta each tallied homers on the day in the rout. Lucas Hartman picked up his 10th win of the season on Tuesday after tossing the final 1.2 innings in relief.

🔼  One Of The Best! Virginia men’s golfer Ben James has been named one of three finalists for the Ben Hogan Award, presented by Baird!

James is the first Hoo to ever be named a finalist for the Hogan Award, which annually honors the top NCAA Division I golfer.

🔼  Still Building! The record book for University of Virginia track and field requires regular updating, partly because of the prowess of the throwers with whom assistant coach Brandon Amo works.

The throws have long been one of the Cavaliers’ strengths, thanks to alums like Filip Mihaljevic, Hilmar Jonsson, Jordan Young, Ethan Dabbs and Claudio Romero, and head coach Vin Lananna wants that to continue. And that's helped Amo build a powerful group.

🔼  Academic All-Stars! Virginia women’s and men’s tennis were well-represented on the CSC Academic All-District teams announced Tuesday, with Melodie Collard, Annabelle Xu, Vivian Yang and Isabelle Lacy honored on the women’s side and Dylan Dietrich on the men’s side!
