🔼  In The Hunt! Virginia women’s golf sits in third place at 1-over after one round at the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional, led by Elsie MacCleery’s first-round 67!

Host North Carolina leads the field with a first-round score of 6-under 274 while top-seeded Texas sits second after combining for a first-round score of 1-under 279.

🔼  Last Call at the Dish. Virginia baseball plays its final home game of the regular season today, hosting Richmond for a 1 p.m. first pitch at the Dish.

The Hoos own a 22-8 record at home this season, and will finish the regular season on the road this coming weekend at Louisville.

🔼  The Best Is Yet To Come. It wasn’t a topic that members of the University of Virginia men’s lacrosse team discussed regularly. They focused instead on making each day a productive one and “enjoying the journey,” head coach Lars Tiffany said. There was no question, however, about the Cavaliers’ goal this year.

They wanted to end the season as one of the teams playing at Scott Stadium, the site of Championship Weekend in this year’s NCAA tournament. That won’t happen. In a first-round game Sunday night at Klöckner Stadium, No. 5 seed UVA lost 14-10 to Georgetown.

🔼  New Hoo! Virginia women’s basketball head coach Aaron Roussell has announced the addition of Rutgers transfer Janaé Walker!

Walker, a 6-3 forward, joins the Cavalier program after a pair of seasons with the Scarlet Knights. She played her freshman season at Kentucky in 2023-24. Over her three collegiate seasons, Walker has compiled 84 appearances playing for two power four programs.

Virginia Softball Heads To Knoxville Regional With Third Straight NCAA Bid. The Cavaliers face Indiana (42-14) in the first game of the day. The Cavaliers are the seven seed in the quadrant and second-seeded team in the regional, while host Tennessee is the No. 7 seed in the tournament.
