🔼 Hurricane Sweep. Virginia baseball put together one of its best weekends of the season, sweeping Miami at the Dish to improve to 14-10 in ACC play and extend its win streak to six games with four games remaining in the regular season.

Jay Woolfolk threw six innings of one-run ball in Game 1, the Hoos walked off with a win in dramatic fashion in Game 2, and Henry Ford hit a pair of home runs in Game 3 to highlight the weekend.

🔼 Elite Eight. No. 7 seed Virginia men’s tennis is into the NCAA Quarterfinals, securing a come-from-behind win over No. 10 seed Arizona on Saturday in Charlottesville.

The Hoos dropped the doubles point, but earned singles wins from Dylan Dietrich, Keegan Rice, James Hopper and Mans Dahlberg.

With the win, Virginia advances to the finals site, Baylor’s Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas, where they will face the No. 2 seed TCU (25-3) in a quarterfinal match on Friday, May 16.

🔼 Regional Round. Virginia men’s golf is in Reno, Nev., this week, teeing it up as the No. 2 seed at the NCAA Reno Regional at Montreux Golf & Country Club.

The top five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals. Team and individual medalist titles will be decided May 23-28 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. Texas is the host institution for the 2025 championships.

🔼 Ticket Punched. No. 25 Virginia softball is headed back to the NCAA Tournament for the second year in a row, earning the No. 2 seed in the Columbia Regional hosted by South Carolina.

The Cavaliers will face third seeded and ASUN Champions North Florida in the opening game on Friday. The winner of that game will advance to face the region’s top seed South Carolina or Elon. The Gamecocks are the No. 8 overall seed in the tournament. The regional tournament format is double elimination.

🔼 Last Game. No. 5 Virginia women’s lacrosse fell in the second round of the NCAA Tournament to Duke on Sunday, 17-9.

Kate Galica and Jenna DiNardo both collected hat tricks for the Hoos, and Addi Foster added two goals against the Blue Devils.

The Hoos beat Long Island, 20-6, on Friday to advance to Sunday’s second round.

2025 ACC Rowing Championship Seeds, Lane Assignments Announced. Virginia is the No. 4 seed in the Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Four. The Cavaliers are the No. 5 seed in the Third Varsity Eight and No. 6 seed in the Second Varsity Four. The seeds are determined by a vote of the league’s head coaches.
