Virginia Athletics handed out several awards this week!

🔼 Finale Flourish. Virginia softball won in its regular season finale at home against Liberty on Wednesday, 5-3.
Jade Hylton and M.C. Eaton both homered for the Hoos, while Kailyn Jones had two doubles and a pair of RBI. Eden Bigham pitched all seven innings, allowing just two hits while striking out three.
Virginia ends the regular season at 36-16 and 14-10 in ACC play, with the ACC Championships set to begin next Wednesday in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
🥎 RECAP: Virginia Beats Liberty, 5-3

🔼 Gem On The Mound. Virginia baseball earned a win on Wednesday in its final game before the exam break, 5-1, over Navy.
Chris Arroyo started on the mound for the Hoos and pitched a career-long 4.2 innings of one-run ball. Henry Ford and Chone James each picked up a pair of hits and an RBI at the plate.

🔼 Back To Back. For the second year in a row, Virginia women’s swimmer Gretchen Walsh has been named the ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for her sport!

🔼 Best In The Business. Virginia women’s lacrosse’s Kate Galica has been named the ACC Midfielder of the Year!
Galica, a first-team All-ACC honoree, is one of 25 nominees for the 2025 Tewaaraton Award and was named to the Nike Lacrosse Midseason All-America team (presented by Inside Lacrosse). Galica has set both the Virginia single-game and single-season records in draw controls this season.
