🔼 Back And Forth. Down 11-6 after three innings, No. 15 Virginia came storming back on Thursday against No. 10 North Carolina, scoring eight unanswered runs to win, 14-11.
Henry Ford had the breakout game of his freshman season, belting three home runs and collecting six RBI. Jacob Ference had two hits and scored twice, and Harrison Didawick worked three walks and scored each time he got on base.
The Hoos and the Heels are back at it for Game Two of the series today at 6 p.m. at the Dish.

🔼 Road Test. No. 4 Virginia women’s tennis plays its sixth top-10 opponent of the spring this weekend, traveling to Chapel Hill to take on No. 6 North Carolina today at 5 p.m.
The Hoos are 3-2 against top-10 teams so far this spring, with wins against No. 6 Pepperdine, No. 10 NC State, and North Carolina when the Tar Heels were the top-ranked team in the country.
Virginia will finish the weekend with a trip to Durham on Sunday to take on No. 20 Duke.
🔼 Hoos And Heels. No. 2 Virginia men’s lacrosse is home this weekend for a matchup with North Carolina tomorrow at noon, with the program set to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 1999 national championship.
The Tar Heels are 6-4 this season and have been better on the road, undefeated at 3-0 as the visitor.

🔼 The Man In Charge. During his Hall of Fame coaching career, Dom Starsia guided Virginia to NCAA men’s lacrosse titles in 1999, 2003, 2006 and 2011. He joined the Wahoo Central Podcast this week to reflect on the 1999 season.

🔼 Around The Bend. Virginia softball will look to win its third consecutive ACC series this weekend, traveling to South Bend, Ind. to take on Notre Dame for three games.
One game separates the Hoos and Irish in the ACC standings, with Virginia sitting at 7-5 and Notre Dame at 6-6.
🔼 No Fly Zone. No. 2 Virginia men’s tennis will look to make it 10 ACC wins in a row this Sunday, as Boston College comes to Charlottesville for a noon match.
Sunday will serve as Senior Day for the Hoos.
🔼 Postseason Approaching. With No. 11 Virginia women’s lacrosse wrapping up non-conference action against VCU on Wednesday, the Hoos’ attention now turns to finishing ACC play on a high note to carry momentum into the postseason.
That starts this weekend, with a game at Louisville tomorrow. at11:30 a.m.

🔼 On A High Note. Virginia track and field takes a trip to High Point, N.C. this weekend to participate in the Vertklasse Meeting, which will stream live on ESPN+.
🔼 Movin’ Up. Heading into Day Two of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur in seventh place, Virginia’s Amanda Sambach left it in fourth place after shooting 1-over 73!
Sambach is three shots behind the tournament leader heading into Saturday’s final round, which will be played at Augusta National, the site of next week’s Masters.
