🔼 Plus One. Put another point up on the board for Virginia in the Smithfield Commonwealth Clash, as men’s tennis took down Virginia Tech, 6-1, on Wednesday in Blacksburg!

The Hoos earned the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead, and then received five consecutive singles wins from Chris Rodesch, Jeffrey von der Schulenburg, Dylan Dietrich, Mans Dahlberg and Alexander Kiefer to clinch the match.

🔼 Commonwealth Claimed. No. 11 Virginia women’s lacrosse got back in the win column Wednesday, doubling up VCU 16-8 to earn its 10th win of the season.

Katia Carnevale scored five goals for the Hoos, while Mackenzie Hoeg scored four, Kate Miller scored three, and Kiki Shaw scored a pair.

Kate Galica was also crucial in the victory, winning 11 draws, the sixth-highest single-game total in Virginia history.

🔼 Chatting With Coach. Virginia head football coach Tony Elliott met with the media yesterday to give an update on his team midway through spring practice.

🔼 Top-10 Again. Less than a month after hosting then-No. 7 Wake Forest, No. 15 Virginia baseball is set to host another top-10 team this weekend with No. 10 North Carolina in town for a three-game ACC series.

The Tar Heels are 25-4 this season and have won nine straight games, including sweeps of Wake Forest and Georgia Tech in their last two conference series.

🔼 Within Range. Virginia women’s golfer Amanda Sambach shot 3-under 69 in the opening round of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur at Champions Retreat Golf Club on Wednesday, sitting in a tie for seventh place heading into Thursday’s second round.
