🔼 Big Barrels. Kyle Teel, have a night!
The Virginia catcher went 5-for-5, scored three runs and drove in a pair as part of UVA’s 13-4 win over Towson Wednesday night at the Dish. Ethan Anderson, hitting right behind Teel, drove in four runs during his three-hit night.
With two midweek wins under their belts, the Hoos welcome in Duke this weekend for a crucial three-game ACC series.
🔼 Tribute To Coach Holland. John Paul Jones Arena will serve as the site for the tribute to the life and contributions of former Virginia men’s basketball coach and athletics director Terry Holland. The service will be held Saturday, May 6 at 2:00pm ET.
Speakers will include former players, administrators and coaching peers that Holland impacted during his career that spanned Virginia, Davidson and East Carolina.
🔼 Comeback Comes Up Short. Fourth-seeded Virginia women’s lacrosse made a six-goal deficit disappear against five-seed Notre Dame in the ACC Quarterfinals, but the Irish got the last laugh, winning 15-13.
Ashlyn McGovern scored four goals for the Hoos to lead the way. Rachel Clark and Morgan Schwab both scored five points as well.
🔼 Prestigious Penn. Virginia track and field is in Philadelphia this week to compete at the Penn Relays, the oldest and largest track meet in the country.
Thursday gets things started with collegiate field events and select distance events in the evening portion, before the schedule really expands Friday and Saturday.
🔼 Hoosier State Hoos. Virginia women’s golf’s postseason assignment is in - the Hoos are headed to Westfield, Indiana as the No. 5 seed in its NCAA Regional.
The Hoos will be joined in the region by Mississippi State, Oregon, Vanderbilt, Iowa State, Tulsa, Tennessee, Michigan, Oregon State, Xavier, Lipscomb and Morehead State.
The trip to the postseason is the 17th in program history.

Movin’ On Up. With four goals against Lafayette, Xander Dickson crossed the 50-goal threshold on the season and is closing in on the UVA single-season record for goals scored.

⚔️ UVA Football Game At Maryland Moves To Friday Kickoff. The Hoos will play under the Friday night lights this fall, traveling to College Park to take on Maryland on Friday, Sept. 15. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 16.
⚔️ Four UVA Women’s Lacrosse Players Earn All-ACC Honors. Graduate student Ashlyn McGovern and sophomore Rachel Clark both earned first team honors and juniors Morgan Schwab and Aubrey Williams were named to the second team.
⚔️ Cavaliers Wrestling Heads To Compete At US Open Championships. Fifteen members of the Virginia wrestling program are heading west to compete at the 2023 US Open Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada.
