📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Better Late. Down 4-1 heading to the bottom of the seventh inning, Virginia baseball scored five runs in the frame and another in the eighth to take down Liberty, 7-4.

The bullpen was fantastic for Virginia, shutting out the Flames for the final 10 outs of the game.

With a whole lot of fresh momentum, Virginia is right back at the Dish tonight against Towson at 6:00pm ET.

🔼 Business Handled. Virginia men’s lacrosse went on the road and got the job done, beating Lafayette 20-11 to move to 10-3 on the season.

Xander Dickson, who was named ACC Offensive Player of the Week yesterday, scored four goals and registered four assists.

And a bit of history - Petey LaSalla’s name now hangs in the NCAA record books, as the grad student became the all-time leader in career faceoffs taken at 1,658.

The fourth-seeded Virginia women’s lacrosse team begins ACC Championship play against five-seed Notre Dame today in Charlotte, N.C.

The quarterfinal game between the Hoos and Irish is a rematch of a March 25 matchup, when Virginia got the best of Notre Dame in Charlottesville, 16-13. Rachel Clark and Jaime Biskup will remember that game fondly - they both scored five goals against the Irish.

🔼 Reppin’ The Red, White & Blue. The Arnold Palmer Cup has announced that both Virginia women’s golfer Amanda Sambach and men’s golfer Ben James have been selected to represent the 2023 United States Palmer Cup team.

The event follows a similar format as the Ryder Cup, with top American collegiate players facing off against top International talent.

Sambach is the first UVA women’s player selected to compete in the event. James is the third UVA men’s golfer selected, joining Jimmy Stanger (2017) and Derek Bard (2016).

🔼 All Geared Up. It doesn’t get much hotter than winning 16 straight matches entering postseason play - Virginia men’s tennis is a force to be reckoned with right now.

It took the Hoos a while to get to this point, losing twice early in the season to Michigan and Ohio State. But now?

“I like where we are,” head coach Andres Pedroso says.

🤔 HOOS TRIVIA

Towson Returns. The Towson Tigers return to the Dish tonight for the third consecutive year and are set to play the Hoos for the 22nd time since Brian O’Connor took the top step at Virginia.

What is O’Connor’s record against Towson heading into tonight?
