🔼 Big Game Hunting. Fresh off a squeezing of the Syracuse Orange, No. 3 Virginia men’s lacrosse heads to Pennsylvania tonight to take on the Lafayette Leopards.

Lafayette, a member of the Patriot League, sits at 6-8 overall. It’s an important game for the Hoos, as the penultimate matchup before postseason play begins.

🔼 Fire Fighters. Virginia baseball gets a chance to quickly flush any lasting memories from the weekend, hosting Liberty this evening at Disharoon Park.

Tonight is Round 2 of Hoos-Flames, with UVA winning the first go-around 4-1 in Lynchburg. Seven Virginia pitchers combined to shut down the Liberty lineup that night, and a big chunk of the offense came from Griff O’Ferrall and Ethan Anderson, who combined for seven hits and three runs.

🔼 Tough Texas. Hosting No. 1 Texas at Rivanna Reservoir proved tough for No. 10 Virginia rowing on Monday, as the Longhorns took all four races.

Texas won the Varsity Four (7:12.7-7:22.7), Second Varsity Four (7:18.6-7:38.4), Second Varsity Eight (6:28.9-6:37.9) and Varsity Eight (6:17.1-6:24.7).

Next up for Virginia is the UVA Invite on Saturday at Rivanna Reservoir, where they will welcome North Carolina, Tennessee and Navy.

🔼 Small But Mighty. Virginia field hockey head coach Michele Madison announced five additions to the team Monday, and let’s just say it’s an exciting group.

Mia Abello, Ria Chhina, Minnie Pollock and Emma Watchilla will join as freshmen, while Megan Connors comes by way of the University of California as a grad transfer.

Between the five, there are four athletes with international experience, one senior national team member, two first-team All-Americans, a 100-goal scorer, and a bunch of championships.
