🔼 Build. Believe. Belong. The Virginia Athletics Foundation announced Tuesday the launch of the Sabre Society, a philanthropic giving society in support of Virginia Athletics and the over 750 student-athletes it serves.

The generous support of committed donors to the Sabre Society ensures that Virginia student-athletes excel both in and out of competition while providing the donor with a deeper connection to Virginia Athletics.

🔼 Flames Put Out. No. 14 Virginia brought the offense on Tuesday night, beating Liberty 14-4 in run-rule fashion to close out its five-game homestand.

Eight different Hoos drove in at least one run, while Bobby Whalen, Henry Ford and Harrison Didawick drove in a pair.

🎥 HIGHLIGHTS: Virginia 14, Liberty 4

🔼 Moving On. Virginia softball fell on the road Tuesday night at No. 15 Virginia Tech, 6-1.

Bella Cabral provided the offense for the Hoos in the game thanks to a solo home run in the third inning.

Virginia is back in action this weekend with a trip to Atlanta to take on Georgia Tech.

🔼 Tourney Time. No. 6 Virginia women’s lacrosse kicks off its run at the ACC Championships today with a matchup against No. 14 North Carolina at 2 p.m. in Charlotte, N.C.

The Hoos, the tournament’s No. 5 seed, fell to the No. 4 seed Tar Heels, 10-9, way back on Feb. 23.

🔼 Great Eight. The ACC released its women’s lacrosse All-ACC and All-Freshman teams on Tuesday, and a whopping eight Hoos made the lists, headlined by Morgan Schwab on the All-ACC first team!

🔼 Globetrotting Hoos. For most men’s basketball players, the NBA remains the ultimate goal, and the University of Virginia is well-represented in that league, with six alumni on playoff teams alone. But attractive and, often, lucrative opportunities to play professionally also exist beyond North America, as many former Cavaliers can attest.

🔼 Headed To The W. Virginia women’s basketball alum Camryn Taylor is getting her professional shot — the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx has signed the forward to a training camp contract!

🔼 Starting A Collection. For the second week in a row and third time this season, Virginia’s Eden Bigham is the ACC Pitcher of the Week!

Bigham was critical in a series win over No. 3 Duke, tossing 9.0 scoreless innings in Friday’s series opener and earning a save in Saturday’s contest.

🔼 Made The Team. Virginia will be well-represented at the 2024 Palmer Cup — Ben James and Amanda Sambach have been named to the men’s and women’s rosters for the event!
